Clay Cafe is Cape Town’s favourite way to get creative. Clay Cafe in the city, which originally opened in Gardens, caters for an intimate art experience. Now, the cafe announced it is moving to a new, larger location on Bree Street.

It’s official! We are reopening on Monday the 7th July from 1.30-9.30 pm weekdays ?? we will open Saturdays for painting and brunch mid-July. We have removed all our shared tables and created this spacious new painting area. We will have some winter warmer meals with new ordering systems to keep both our clients and staff comfortable and safe. •On arrival you will been screened, answer a health questionnaire, sanitize hands and please wear a mask at all times. Clay Cafe has recently announced that they are moving from Gardens to Bree Street. The new store will be located at 199 Bree Street and the cafe plans to open its new doors around October 8.

In a Facebook post, Clay Cafe said: “We have loved this gorgeous space, but it’s now time for change and wow do we have a few amazing treats for you! We will be opening round the 8th October ( TBC ) For all future bookings will be managed online on www.claycafeinthecity.com Excited to be seeing your lovely faces our new space soon!” 

Cape Town’s artists can expect the following:

  • Capacity for 100 pax
  • Live music
  • Open space with high ceilings
  • Bar area
  • Balcony
  • New tapas
  • Pizzas
  • New painting events
