A couple determined to tie the knot were married at Melomed Hospital in Gatesville on Sunday after the groom was reportedly attacked and wounded the night before their wedding.

Melomed Private Hospitals reported in a statement on social media that the groom, Muneer Hercules, was attacked at his home in an alleged robbery just before he and Maryam Kallie were due to wed.

The attack did not stop the pair from saying their “I do’s” and they decided to hold the ceremony at the hospital after Melomed Gatesville gave the go-ahead for the Nikah, a Muslim wedding ceremony.

Dressed in a beautiful silver and grey dress, Maryam decided to walk down a different kind of aisle for her special day.

We would like to wish the couple a congratulations and all the best for their future.
