NV-80 is named after the dynamic and renowed Gonçalves duo that has been in the business since 1980. Their restaurant, a throwback to the past and celebration of it, offers guests intimate indoor dining, an alfresco balcony for sundowners and a chic centre bar – home to an impressive selection of local wines and both classic and inventive cocktails.

NV-80 shares a Cuba meets vintage dining room ambience – with burnt orange and teal hues set amoungst tall palm trees. Fluorescent finishes coat classic cast aluminium, Windsor dining chairs wear metal feet and copper accents compliment mighty matchstick blinds.

NV-80’s menu is an amalgamation of the Gonçalves’ favourites found on their previous menus over the past 36 years. Interesting side dishes, including dauphinoise potatoes and wild mushroom linguine, compliment the fresh cuisine. Firm favourites include tender-aged chalmar steak, king prawns, and their famous peri-peri baby chicken.

NV-80 embraces the city’s laidback nature. With a clear view of Lion’s Head, the oasis of a restaurant feels far removed from any shopping centre and the buzz of Sea Point Main Road life brings about a European vibrancy.
