The Dassenberg Rescue Centre needs volunteers to assist in caring for their horses and dogs. The non-profit organisation rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes horses and dogs to help them transition from neglected to loved.

“Every Saturday morning you have the opportunity to join us on our farm and interact with our amazing rescue animals. You can take our lovely dogs for walkies, brush and cuddle them. They’ll love you for it. Our horses too! We are open from 8am – 11am, and only 40 minutes north from Cape Town via the N7,” the organisation’s website reads. “We fight against animal abuse, specializing in before and after stories – stories that revolve around the efforts of incredible people, animal people.”

If you feel you can offer these beautiful animals what they need and deserve, and you have been approved by the adoption department you could be part of making a once very abused and neglected animal a very grateful and loyal companion. Please contact Mayanna today to make an appointment. She will introduce you to the animals up for adoption and  explain the adoption procedures to you.”
