Avondale Wine Estate is nestled at the foot of the Klein Drakenstein Mountains in the gorgeous Paarl Valley. Picture this: natural fauna and flora and spectacular views of the Simonsberg Mountains.
Experience the beauty of this wine farm with a brand new Trail running event taking place on Heritage Day – Friday, September 24.
The Trail run takes you through farm running, up into the surrounding mountains and then into the vineyards and orchards finishing at the Avondale Cellar. After all, there’s no better way to enjoy nature than on foot!
There will be two different options available – a 15 km trail run or a less demanding 5 km. The 15km will have one water station along the route where you will be able to fill up your water bottle. There will be water at the finish for all runners.

Time: Due to COVID-19 regulations, there will not be a mass start, but rather a time zone start.

What you’ll receive: All entrants will receive a gift pack valued at R250 while many exciting spot prizes will also be up for grabs on race day.

What else you can do at Avondale: Avondale Wine Estate will be open for all runners and guests. There will be a food truck, coffee station, refreshments will be available from Ochra Deli, and the Avondale Garden Bar will be open from 10am. The Faber restaurant on Avondale Wine Estate will be open on race day for lunch (please note there is limited seating so booking is essential).

COVID-19 rules: all rules and regulations in terms of adherence to social distancing and limited participation will be adhered to. There will be a COVID registration point as at the number collection point.
