The family of Delmarie Zitianellis, the woman who briefly went missing on Thursday evening [February 18] extended their deep gratitude to the public for all the efforts in helping find her and her infant son Mateo.

Worried friends and family frantically sharing pictures of Zitianellis and her seven-month-old baby boy when they did not return home after they set off on a walk at about 3.30pm on Thursday.

Posters of Delmarie (39) and Mateo featured on many FB groups with a plea for any information that could lead to their location. Both have since been found unharmed.

On Friday, the family released a statement thanking everyone who assisting in efforts to find the pair, according to JWI News.
“It is with gratitude and a deep sense of pride to be part of a community that pulled together so quickly and extensively last night, that I can confirm that Delmarie and Matt are home safely,” reads the statement.

“We have enormous appreciation to those that gave up so much of their time, resources and energy through a sleepless night to assist us in finding them. No words can describe how grateful we are. It is because of the amazing response to the call of uncertainty of Delmarie’s whereabouts that the information we received enabled us to establish, with relief, that no criminal activity had taken place.”
