A new collaboration between africanpure, one of Africa’s leading CBD brands, and popular local franchise Col’Cacchio is bringing the Mother City a slice of heaven with their new cannabis pizza options.

As of June 25, locals will be able to enjoy two new pizza options enriched with CBD oils at selected stores. These will form part of South Africa’s first cannabis pizza range.

Following the landmark announcement by the Department of Health that Cannabidiol can now be legally purchased in South Africa, these two partners will now bring locals their daily dose of CBD in the form of delicious gourmet cannabis pizzas.

The meat-free option, the Green Goddess.

For vegetarians there’s the Green Goddess and for those looking for something with a little more meat there’s the Not-So-Plain Mary Jane, priced at R125 and R140 respectively.

Both pizzas are drizzled with CBD oil which contains no THC or synthetic chemicals. The CBD oil provided by africanpure is also 100% organic.

If you’re not in the mood for pizza there is also an option for patrons to add CBD oil to either a salad or pasta for an additional R25.

“At Col’Cacchio, we have always aimed to be innovative with our menu offering and provide our loyal fan base with the latest health positive trends. We love to stay ahead of the curve and are extremely proud to be the first restaurant in SA to launch a Cannabis pizza and look forward to seeing old and new faces in our restaurants coming in to try this exciting new range,” says Kinga Baranowska, Col’Cacchio co-founder.

The vegetarian option features delicious feta, basil leaves and baby marrow, while the meat-eater’s option offers a chicken topping with pepper dews and avocado sauce. If you’re worried about the flavour of the pizza being affected by the CBD oil we can assure you this isn’t so and these options offer the same high standards as all Col’Cacchio pizzas.
