In celebration of female entrepreneurs, 30 small business owners will band together to showcase their amazing talents at the Steenberg Women-inspired Market. Handcrafted, artisanal goods will take centre stage, boasting a range of speciality items from jewellery and home decor, to stationery and printed fabrics.
This vibrant market, held on the pristine outstretched lawns, is centred around Catherina Ras, the first landowner of Steenberg in 1682 to inspire, motivate and uplift women.
Here are some of the businesses to look out for on this much-anticipated day:
Night Owl Knitters is a business that was brought to life by the desire to help single mothers supplement their domestic worker income to support their children. Using hand-dyed kid mohair yarn, these local ladies are knitting and crocheting incredible products. Have a look at this gorgeous sight below!

You can also take a deep dive into the glorious world of the Steenberg Hotel & Spa and explore their services at the market. This recently refurbished, ultra-lux hotel offers ultra sensory experiences to get excited about.
And when those hunger pangs start calling, you can delight yourself in the most scrumptious dishes from Tryn and Bistro Sixteen82. They are offering seared beef & sesame ginger salad, sticky pork or Jackfruit bao buns, truffle & parmesan fries, and Chef Kerry Kilpin’s popular paprika-dusted calamari with garlic aioli, in addition to the sweet treats on the menu.
So now that we’ve given you a little taste of what’s in store, mark the date on your calendar and spend a relaxing afternoon browsing, lounging on blankets and tasting world-renowned wines. Dani Villé will be entertaining visitors with her rendition of popular covers and her own original music.
