It’s officially December, which means the festive season is upon us. As we round off the year, it is important to consider how we can make a difference to the lives of our furry friends too.

The Cape of Good Hope SPCA has a number of adorable pets looking for their forever home. While cats and dogs are always loved, why not consider adopting a horse?

The handsome brown and white charmer named Winston is an uber-lovable youngster who will be such a delightful companion for anyone. According to the SPCA, the 18-month, 12.1hh horse has a great sense of humour and is a laugh a minute.

“Although he is not yet backed, Winston is halter-trained and smart and eager to learn! Winston is a gentle and inquisitive boy with loads of potential,” said the SPCA in a statement. “He is very friendly over the paddock fence and on the ground. Winston is a lovely pony with so much character. We would love nothing more than for him to find his second chance… a safe and loving home for life.”

If you would like to adopt Winston or another one of the SPCA’s horses, please arrange an appointment to visit their Horsecare Unit by filling in this online adoption enquiry form HERE and contact Senior Inspector Emma Linsell on [email protected]
