Their spectacular bubbly brunch hosted on Saturday July 20 showcased just how diverse Home Bru Café’s service offering is – much like our beautiful country.

Guests were spoilt for choice with a harvest table of authentic and delicious breakfast items. There was everything from buttery croissants, to eggs Benedict, bacon strips and all the mouthwatering fixings in between.

But what is brunch without mimosas? Just a sad breakfast.

Accompanying the spread were various bubbly options to add to your orange juice: Pongracz, Steenberg sparkling sauvignon blanc and Steenberg 1682 chardonnay MCC.

Home Bru’s signature Tribe “Mother Africa” coffee blend, teas and fruit juices were also on offer.

As the day ambled on, guests were invited to make their own gins. Bombay Sapphire gin and a selection of new flavoured Schwepps tonic waters were paired with an array of ingredients including blueberries, lemon, mint and more.

The incredibly talented kitchen turned out an assortment of brie and chutney sandwiches, lamb burgers, BLT’s, and Mexican-style burgers, to be served with a side of biltong salad.

Home Bru Café is committed to supporting local businesses and have also tried to minimise their environmental impact – their takeaway packaging is biodegradable, and they are continuously investigating ways to be as plastic-free as possible.

It is an intimate space, with a seating capacity of 55 pax. Home Bru is perfect for private functions too, with a balcony overlooking Table Mountain used for group seatings.

Home Bru is the perfect place to hide out from the hustle and bustle of city life. It caters to those looking for an afterwork bite while waiting out the traffic and for those who want to spend the evening socialising in a quintessential Cape Town setting.
