The Mother City and South Africa’s first premium cannabidiol (CBD) store has found its home in the heart of Cape Town’s city centre, and it’s not just good, it’s great.

The bustling street-level store, Goodleaf, can be found in the recently renovated Tiny Empire building on Buitenkant Street in the East City Precinct, and is the first store of its kind since the legalisation of CBD in May 2019, all you have to do is look out for the green leaf.

In store you’ll find a unique selection of high quality CBD-based products, from vapes and drops to perfumes and creams from Select CBD, Dr Kerklaan and Herb Essentls, along with these Goodleaf’s very own CBD drops and stellar skincare range.

The store has a minimalist design with a relaxing atmosphere where visitors are encouraged to sit and page through curated cannabis books and view the offerings to choose the perfect treatment for “cultivating” their wellness.

The small yet well-utilised space is not just a store but is also designed as an amphitheatre, with low birchwood rows that easily function as both display shelves and seating to easily transform for events.

“The store embodies everything Goodleaf stands for – open and accessible, sophisticated and stylish. We always believed there was a huge opportunity to offer consumers an educated and curated experience in a welcoming environment. I think its design is the perfect blend of functionality and modern retail style,” says CEO Jonni Katz.
