If you happened to see rainbows moving along Lion’s Head, you weren’t still in dreamland.
Some hikers gathered together to start their morning with a kaleidoscope of colours this week and the photographs are breathtaking.
Florence Poretti who shared the photographs told Cape {town} Etc that she got the idea to bring happiness and colours in people’s lives. “We are a rainbow nation,” she said.
She also added that the rainbows are also a symbol of the pride flag.
Take a glimpse into what looks like something out of a fairy tale, perfectly titled ‘rainbow mushrooms’ on the slopes of the mountain.

Lion’s Head is as famous a hiking destination as they come. Located next to the iconic Table Mountain, the Lion’s Head peak reaches an elevation of 669m above sea level and towers over Signal Hill at 350m. Catch the worm with the early birds before sunrise like our fabulous rainbow hikers, or cool down after sunset. Either way, epic views are always on the cards, as well as some unexpected but wonderful ones like the energy of those in the photographs.
