An opulent villa, La Rive is open to individual bookings, offering guests a tranquil getaway experience in the heart of the Cape Winelands.
Located in Franschhoek, La Rive is an exclusive villa that can accommodate large groups of up to 13 guests and is open to individual room bookings.
The villa is known for its lush green gardens, offering guests a backdrop that is similar to Frances Hodgson Burnett’s ‘The Secret Garden’.
Art and design remains at the epicenter of the villa, with an eclectic mix of Victorian, Cape Duth and Georgian architecture that is home to numerous pieces from local artists on display, such as Neil Rodger, Edward Wolfe and more.
With a total of six rooms available for guests, each is accompanied by its own unique style and personality with no two antique bedside tables alike.
An in-house chef and butler add to the lavishness of the villa, where guests are treated to five-star meals and world class service.
There are three private garden cottages and 2 loft rooms available for guests, which can accommodate up to three single beds upon request.
Guests are made to feel like royalty with the range of amenities available, from their welcoming poolside area to the decadent breakfasts on offer. A unique feature of the property is a pizza oven and BBQ area available to guests.
Manager of La Rive, Alexis Gillis says the decision to allow individual bookings was to open the property for everyone to experience and enjoy.
The villa is child friendly with a welcoming pool.
For those wanting to explore the town, La Rive is located within walking distance to Franschhoek’s Main road.
Individual room rates are as follows:
– Master Bedroom, located in the manor house will cost R 12 500 per night (Garden facing)
– Yellow of Blue bedroom, R11 500 per night (Pool facing rooms)
– Upstairs bedroom (1 or 2), equipped with a TV lounge, R11 500 per night/each
– Pink Bedroom, R 9500 per night (back garden bedroom)
Guests must book a minimum of two nights during the week and three during the weekend. Breakfast and beverages are included in the rates. A security deposit of R 3000 per room per night is applicable before checking in.
Lunch and dinner are not included in the pricing and must be arranged with the Villa prior to arrival. A cancellation fee of 100% is applicable for guests who cancel less than a week before their stay and for those who cancel more than a week before, a 50% cancellation fee will be charged.
