The Limpopo-based Ndlovu Youth Choir is going to the America’s Got Talent final, following a stunning performance of Whitney Houston and Steve Winwood’s “Higher Love” that had audience members and judges giving them a standing ovation.

The proudly South African choir competed against 10 other acts in the first round of the semi-finals this week, and amazed the crowd with their talent and high energy. If you haven’t seen their incredible performance yet, watch it below:

The choir has been flying the South African flag high on the American talent show and going from strength to strength with each performance. They’ve clearly entered the hearts of the American public considering they voted them through to the final. Their original audition, posted to the America’s Got Talent Youtube page two months ago, currently has over 7.4 million views.

Next week, the remaining 11 acts will perform in the second semi-final round, and five finalists will be chosen to compete in the final along with the already chosen five which includes Ndlovu Youth Choir. The two-night season finale will take place on September 17 and 18.

Here’s hoping the Ndlovu Youth Choir bring home the win!

Currently in its 14th season, America’s Got Talent celebrates the varied skills of people in America. Over the years, the show has seen singers, dancers, comedians, ventriloquists and even dog acts battle it out to be crowned the best of the best.

This season’s judges are Simon Cowell, Howie Mandell, Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough. The winner of America’s Got Talent will win $1 000 000 which is equal to R14 752 910 and the title of most talented performer in America.
