Nederburg Wine Estate, a brand native to Paarl, has set off on an exciting roadshow to bring their ‘Dinner of Discovery’ series to a variety of South African cities.
They’re putting their best foot – and wine – forward.
The series will involve two distinct explorations of taste and will occur in cities across the country.
It includes the classic ‘wine and dines’ wherein wine lovers are given the chance to enjoy everything from a full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon to a lighter style Rosé. The wines are then paired with inventive dishes from the kitchens of partner restaurants.
The second exploration involves an innovative sensory experience, which is presented exclusively at the Manor restaurant on the wine farm situated in Paarl. Here, patrons taste wines whilst blindfolded and the contents of their glasses are only to be revealed later. Dishes are also enjoyed in complete darkness. To add another dimension to the sensory experience, courses are served within a constantly changing soundscape.
The goal is for the paired diners to unleash the imagination of its patrons and guide them in focusing on the aromas, textures and tastes whilst exploring the impact of light and sound on their experience.
The series is set to run from June until November of this year, keep an eye on everything going down here.
