A non-profit co-working space and ‘collaborative incubator’ dedicated to social entrepreneurship, ORIBI Village, has opened in Cape Town.

ORIBI, which is situated in Gardens, will hold its opening event on March 5 2019 from 10am to 12pm. Hosting a wide range of events promoting local projects, ORIBI aims to promote social entrepreneurship as a tool for economic and social development in Cape Town and surrounding townships.

The launch event will also serve as a celebration and graduation for ORIBI’s inaugural cohort of 10 social entrepreneurs who all completed its intensive three-month incubation programme.

The incubator aims to create knowledge and offer valuable guidance and training, helping social entrepreneurs to create promising positive impact projects.

The non-profit is calling for applications for its next programme.

Providing workshops, expert classes, one-on-one follow up sessions, mentorships with successful entrepreneurs, and access to the co-working office space, ORIBI aims to create a space for social change.

Networking events will be hosted to inspire entrepreneurs and build conscious and dynamic community of change-makers.

The programme is free of charge and will commence on March 18.
