Philip strives for customer satisfaction in all areas of services provided, nothing sounds sweeter to his ear than when a client says how happy they are with their purchase or repair. Clients love to work with Philip as he is a good listener and has the ability to turn dreams into reality.

The style of jewellery ranges from classic to contemporary and somewhere in between. Gemstones and diamonds are ethically sourced from reputable suppliers and wherever possible optional choices of are provided.

The workshop is situated within the shop and thus enables easy facilitation of the production of items, be it in silver, gold or platinum. Philip often mixes different mediums and elements with designs. One of the most successful ranges that they make and carry, incorporates the use of African Blackwood which is an exotic hardwood suitable for the use in jewellery. Many a gentleman has chosen a blackwood inlaid ring as a wedding band purely for the intriguing combination of the polar elements.

Another medium Philip likes to use is resin, particularly to give colour to certain designs of jewellery and create a level of playfulness. Philip is one of the original jewellers in Cape Town who introduced the use of fingerprint engraving to personalise rings and pendants.

For this application he either uses hand engraving to give a more artistic feel or laser engraving for a precise portrayal. The idea of using fingerprints came about during a conversation with someone who wanted an item of jewellery that would be totally unique to wearer.

In the past few years Philip also recognised the trend of classical signet rings and has reintroduced them into his range. Often people choose to engrave a family crest, their initials or a symbol of something pertinent in their lives. Philip Wulfsohn Jewellery has an excellent rating on TripAdvisor which ultimately is a platform where client’s can share their experiences dealing with Philip and his staff.
