1. Gear up for The Great Gatsby
Get ready Gatsby fans (and not just the meal) because a theatrical rendition of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s famous book is coming to life at the Star Theatre at HCC!
The Cape Town Theatre Company along with the Claremont Dramatic Society express that the “Great Gatsby will be the first major theatrical event at the newly reopened The Star Theatre at HCC, formerly the site of the beloved Fugard Theatre, in the heart of Cape Town.”
The story of Jay Gatsby’s illustrious romance with Daisy Buchanan, hope, and the American Dream is set to be told featuring a cast of 27 actors, singers, dancers and musicians in one of history’s most fascinating eras – the swinging 20s.
