Whether you’re a friend of the forest, or slowly easing your way into hiking, the Skeleton Gorge Waterfall hike is perfect for you. Located above the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, this lush green mossy area boasts spectacular scenery and the serene waterfall is the main event, making it a really special place to visit.
What’s more tranquil than a backdrop of ultimate paradise, coupled with the sound of the waterfall, the chirping, croaking and buzzing – what a way to experience nature!
The route remains on the lower part of the mountain with not too much elevation, making this ideal for beginners, kids or anyone wanting to get out and explore the great outdoors
This hike will take you up to and along the Contour Path where you’ll be able to enjoy views of the South Peninsula overlooking Kirstenbosch Dam, reaching your magnificent destination at the lower end of the Skeleton Gorge trail.
