Cape Town’s temperatures are predicted to be low for the coming weekend, and there may even be a dusting of snow to look forward to.

According to Snow-Forecast, the Matroosberg region is expected to receive light snow on Friday, October 9 as temperatures will drop to below freezing.

“A dusting of new snow can be expected. Freeze-thaw conditions have also been predicted, with a maximum of  10°C on Monday morning [October 12],  and a minimum -2°C on Friday night. Winds will be decreasing, with fresh winds from the SSE on Friday night, and light winds from the WNW by Sunday night [October 11],” it said.

The snow is predicted to be melted by Tuesday, October 13 as temperatures will increase to 13°C.
