As summer invites Capetonians to enjoy nature’s delights, we might want to know about the opening and closing times for some of our local favourites like Table Mountain National Park, Cape Point, Boulders and other gorgeous picnic sites.
Now according to the South African National Parks (SANParks), opening times were impacted by the pandemic. They remind the public that even though things are slowly coming back to normal, the impact is still felt in the tourism industry.
In light of Cape Point, TMNP Park Manager – Mr Frans van Rooyen has addressed concerns over the opening times, “TMNP is slowly recovering from the pandemic and we kindly request visitors to be patient with us especially with the gate opening times at Cape Point. This is not a permanent decision and things will get back to normal when it’s safe to do so. We urge Park users to respect the rules of the Park and we will keep everyone informed if there are new changes, concludes van Rooyen.”
