Local and international students can now visit the iconic landmark, Table Mountain for a discounted price seven days a week.

Students must posses a valid student card to make use of the Table Mountain Cableway student special which offers tickets at a discounted rate of R150 return and R80 one way. Upon presenting their student card to the Lower Station Ticket Office, the discount will immediately apply.

Students can learn more about the mountain thanks to the free 30 minute informative guided walks, which depart from the Twelves Apostles Terrance. For those who wish to stroll around themselves, there is also a free guided Voicemap app, available on both Apple and Google Play. Once downloaded the tours run offline and do not require any further data.

Table Mountain Cafe offers a student special where you can purchase any slice of pizza plus a soft drink for R75 and if you prefer a beer it will cost an additional R25. Where as the Terrace bar offers an array of other food items from fresh boerie rolls and ice cold beer on tap to a glass of MCC.

With panoramic views, free Wi-Fi , USB points and a range of food options at Cableways upper station student can easily move their working space to the top of Table Mountain.

Table Mountain Cableway, student special available 7 days a week

A free MyCiti shuttle is available to transport patrons to the Lower Cableway Station from the Lower Tafelberg Road parking. It departs every 20 minutes and operates from 7am – 7pm.
