The Galileo Open Air Cinema is presenting their Local Heroes campaign, for the second year in a row and they are requesting your help!

Partnering with brands including Cape Town Magazine, Magic828 Music Radio, and Coca-Cola, they hope to find some of the Mother City’s unsung heroes in order to show them some thanks.

From community-builders to charities and all the everyday do-gooders; if you know of a great cause in your community or someone doing something – no matter how big or small – to help make the lives of others around them better, The Galileo would like to hear about it.

The idea is to say a big thank you to these local heroes by hosting an outdoor movie event aimed at giving back to those in need of a night off, a word of thanks and some recognition. Apart from the movie screening on the house, complimentary drinks from Coca-Cola and something to eat are all generously donated.

The event will take place on Maarch 13, 2020 at Central Park (Century City) and a screening of “A Dogs Journey” is in order. If you’d like to attend the event and pay tribute to the local heroes, you can book tickets at www.thegalileo.co.za.

The Galileo Open Air Cinema plans to make this an annual event as part of their screening calendar and would like to invite businesses and individuals alike to be part of this community initiative and suggest ways to amplify the success of this project.

To nominate YOUR local hero, please head to www.thegalileo.co.za/local-heroes/ and give back to those who are always giving back.

Nominations close Monday, March 9, 2020.
