It’s been a tough year for South Africans. Between travel bans and trying to dodge the COVID-19 virus, many of us are feeling burnt out and less than festive.
But before you decide to cancel Christmas this year, perhaps meandering through the charming French-inspired alleyways of Franschhoek while perusing through some incredible Christmas goodies may just put a smile on your face and Christmas cheer in your heart.
Grab your comfiest walking shoes and head to the Franschhoek Village Christmas Market. This little slice of Christmas paradise is a jam-packed four-day festive market located in the heart of the Cape Winelands. While there’s no snow in sight, expect stunning views of the mountain ranges and valley – what more could you ask for?
Well, except for some Christmas jingles and adorable decorations? Quality gift and decoration ideas, along with some good food and drinks, are sure to warm your heart and fill your belly. There’s also plenty to keep the kids entertained as the area will be packed with some fun activities to help them burn off some energy! Your fur babies are also invited to Christmas shenanigans, but make sure they’re on a leash.
