A woman from the United Kingdom (UK) has made an impassioned plea to the residents of Sea Point to help find her mother.

In a post shared to the Sea Point Community Facebook group, a woman named Poppy explains how she lost contact with her mother, and desperately wants to track her down.

“My name is Poppy and I live in London, United Kingdom,” she writes. “I am originally from Ethiopia, but grew up in the United Kingdom.”

“At six years old, I got separated from my mother and my young sister,” she continues. “I am now 37 years old. My mother I heard immigrated to Cape Town.”

Poppy’s mother’s name is Embet Tusggai, and is believed to reside somewhere in Sea Point.

“Due to very complicated family breakdown, myself and my sister were not able to access our mother’s whereabouts from our extended families,” Poppy continues.

After many years, she received information on her mother’s whereabouts from her ex-husband.

“Currently, there is no hope,” Poppy writes. “Please help us.”
