A tropical-themed water park, Summer Splash, will be open at Capegate Shopping Centre this summer holiday. Open from Dec 6, the massive outdoor water park will ensure that everyone stays cool and has fun in the sun.

At the water park you’ll find a variety of activities including a giant inflatable water slide, a front water slide, a wave simulating slide, a two-lane inflated foam slip and slide, paddle boats, a surfboard simulating station, a dunk tank and a 240 square meter raised sand pit. There will also be shaded areas and seating, along with a refreshment station to complete the day of water park fun.

Every Saturday, during the event dates, visitors will invited to partake in a fun, beach-themed workshop or activity – free of charge. These sessions include sand-building and kite making workshops, a water wars challenge as well as a beach treasure hunt.

To enter you will need to purchase tickets. Tickets cost R85 for 90 minutes and R125 for 3 hours. Prices include access to all activities and can be bought via Webtickets or at the event entrance. Non-riders (accompanying parents) will pay a fee of R40.

It is, however, important to note that the ticket box will not be accepting cash – there will be card facilities available. Additionally, all children under the age of 12 will have to be accompanied by an adult and indemnity forms will be required for all children. Finally, no food will be allowed in to Summer Splash.
