The worst might be over, but there is still more rainfall and cold weather expected in Cape Town this coming week. Temperatures will remain in the lower teens for the rest of Sunday and Monday, then increase again by Tuesday to 19°C.

On Monday you can expect rainfall from about 9am, and a moderate 24km/h north-westerly wind. Showers will continue through most of Monday and start clearing by late afternoon.

Wednesday morning will bring wind gusts of up to 40km/h and heavy rainfall starting at 9am which will continue throughout the day and into Thursday morning. Temperatures of a high of 16°C and a low of 13°C are anticipated.

The rest of the week will be fairly cold but the sun makes an appearance on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday there is more rainfall, this time starting at 7am in the morning continuing through to 5pm. Sunday will be bright and sunny again.

Stay warm and travel safe on the wet roads this week.
