Cape Town’s dam levels are continuing to rise this week after officially reaching 70%. Another increase has taken levels up to 71.5% today, and more rain is still on the way.

Last year at this time, levels were at a low 37.5% compared to their current plentiful status.

Locals across the Western Cape are reporting bountiful rains and running rivers.

The Western Cape can expect some cold weather ahead with snow on the mountain tops, as well as a significant downpours for the rest of today. Cold temperatures should subside by the weekend.
