It’s definitely going to be a hot summer in the Mother City with weather in Cape Town heating up this week and surely more to follow as the summer season kicks off.

Get your sunscreen out, Cape Town, temperatures are going to soar as we head into the last week of November.

From Tuesday, November 26, locals can expect a high of 24°C and a low of 16°C heading into Wednesday with highs of 23°C and lows of 16°C.

Thursday will bring the hottest weather of the week with temperatures reaching highs of 28°C and possibly even hotter in more inland areas of the Cape. The low will be 17°C for the day.

Friday will also bring warm weather with a high of 21°C and a low of 17°C. The weekend will bring slightly cooler temperatures before heading into the first day of December which is expected to be a toasty 22°C or higher with lows of 16°C.

Locals are encouraged to take advantage of the warmer weather and venture out onto the beach but are reminded to be cautious of the rip tides and keep an eye on all children during their beach days.

Next week is expected to bring hot temperatures as well and there can be no doubt that the Mother City is finally heading into summer.
