Cape Town’s rainy weather is not over just yet, with more showers predicted later in the week. Some much-needed sunny days are on the cards too.

The Mother City is starting off the week on a slightly rainy but mostly cloudy day on Monday, August 17, a high of  13°C and a low of 9°C.

Tuesday, August 18 will bring temperatures of between 13°C and 8°C, mostly cloudy conditions will be experienced throughout the day.

As of Wednesday, August 19 more cloudy temperatures are in store with a high of 14°C and a low of 9°C.

Thursday, August 20 will finally bring showers to the Cape, with a high of 16°C and a low of 9°C.

Friday and Saturday, August 21 and 22 will bring the Mother City some sunshine, with sunny conditions expected on both days and an average high of 19°C and a low of 10°C.

Sunday, August 23 will offer cloudy temperatures again, paired with a high of 18°C and a low of 11°C according to Weather.com.

Ahead of more showers, Cape Town’s dam levels are looking good.

As of August 17, overall water storage capacity is at 84% with the Mother City’s fullest dam being Berg River at 101.2% and Steenbras Upper at 100.9%.
