Locals should prepare for an especially hot day tomorrow as weather forecasts predict some parts of Mother City to experience highs of 32°C and lows of 17°C, with especially sunny weather throughout the Cape.

Those who may be caught in traffic due to the State of Nation Address will particularly feel the heat and should brace themselves for a hot ride to work and back.

From Thursday locals can expect slight relief from the sweltering weather as the next five days will be cloudy, windy and somewhat overcast with slightly lower mild and warm temperatures.

Ahead of the warmer days, dam levels have continued to decrease as expected during the summer period and currently stand at 58.7% overall as of February 5, with the lowest dam, Theewaterskloof currently standing at 45.5% full.
