The rainy weather of late is showing no signs of slowing down and Capetonians can expect even more showers going into next week specifically on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Heading into the days before Christmas the Mother City is in for some festive rainfall on December 23 as well.

Tuesday, December 23 will be a cool day with highs of 19°C and lows of 14°C, Christmas Eve will bring similar weather conditions with highs of 18°C  and lows of 13°C.

Christmas and Boxing Day are also predicted to be rainy this year so locals should prepare to spend these festive days inside.

Early am showers are expected on December 25 with highs of 19°C and lows of 14°C, weather conditions on the 26th will be rainy as well, with highs of 19°C and lows of 14°C.

Locals are always welcoming rainy weather as dam levels have showed an expected dip recently, decreasing to 78.5% since December 17.

Steenbras Upper is at 100.8% with Berg River at 94.2% and Wemmershoek at 84.3%.

With four more days of rain expected in the next week, the water storage could increase just in time for Christmas.
