As the Mother City starts the week off on a hot note, relief is not too far away as forecasts predict some welcomed rains making their way to Cape Town on Wednesday.

Locals can look forward to a rainy midweek break, with Wednesday bringing a high of 17°C with a low of 12°C, paired with what are expected to be some bountiful showers.

Ahead of the rainy weather – as well as afterwards – Cape Town has 6 days that will peak in the mid twenties, allowing for perfect weather to take to the beach.

While we look forward to another rainy day, the dam levels are stable at an overall storage percentage of 84.5% as of Monday, November 4.

Fullest dams are Berg River and Steenbras, both at over 100% followed by Wemmershoek at 95.3%.

Dam levels are at an all time high ahead of more rainy weather and if all goes well, the Mother City could be in for even fuller dams come Thursday.
