Don’t get too used to the uncharacteristic summer days we have been experiencing in Cape Town, cooler days are coming, and with it some much-needed rainfall.

The weather forecast for this week shows temperatures staying in the 20’s until Wednesday when it drops to the 17°C mark. Cape Town can expect more sunshine on Friday before the rain starts on Sunday. With a 60% chance of rain on Sunday and Monday, we are hoping it pours buckets well into the rest of that week.

At the last reading, Cape Town dam levels are 46,3% full, as compared to 20,8% storage capacity in 2018. According to the City of Cape Town, collective water consumption for the past week decreased by 18-million litres per day to 589-million litres per day of collective usage. Keep it up Cape Town!
