Thousands of tourists make their way to Cape Town each year, making the Mother City a prime destination for a holiday no matter the season – with World Tourism Day upon us we thought we’d share a few reasons why we think our city is special.

Memorable landmarks are part of what makes a destination unforgettable and Cape Town has no shortage of them.

Whether it is the iconic Table Mountain and Lions Head or the lesser-known Chapman’s Peak and Boomslang trail at the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, visitors are certainly spoilt for choice.

2. The Cape Winelands

No visit to the Cape is complete without an adventure in the winelands.

When it comes to wine there’s no better place to sample the sweet nectar of the grapes than Cape Town.

3. Coastlines & Beaches

Basking in the sun and enjoying the serene coastal scenes is an exceptional experience in Cape Town.

Our waters may be a little chillier than most but our coastlines are so beautiful you may have a hard time believing they’re real, and some even offer unique experiences like a chance to snap a cute picture with a curious little penguin on Boulders Beach.

4. Hiking Routes
