The Galileo Open Air Cinema, like most businesses, has suffered through the lockdown. With no movies being watched the team is unable to work and another original Cape Town business is hanging in the balance, but they are not giving up that easily.
Soon, the Galileo could experience a transformation to become a drive-in cinema but approval from the City of Cape Town is still needed to go ahead.
In the meantime, the team has come up with The Galileo Open Air Cinema Golden Ticket Draw.
Tickets are R100 (available through Webtickets) and gives the holder the chance to win 1 of 3 Golden Tickets. Each Golden Ticket allows for free movies for a full year (once the Galileo opens again) for them and a friend, incl. Coke & popcorn.
All entries will also receive a 20% discount code for a future Galileo movie ticket purchase. All proceeds go towards paying staff in this time and keeping The Galileo alive. The draw will take place on June 30, 2020 on Facebook (live).
