Glen Carlou is offering one lucky person and three of their friends the opportunity to dine on a three-course meal paired with three delicious award-winning Glen Carlou wines, all while taking in the stunning view from the deck of its wine estate in Simonsberg-Paarl.
As well as having a chance to taste Glen Carlou’s range, the four guests can each select six bottles to take home and share with family and friends.
The wines are crafted by passionate winemaker Johnnie Calitz, and the guests will be able to taste limited and rare wines from The Glen Carlou Collection, a small range of wines available exclusively at the winery and to the Wine Club Members. Each wine within the collection is site-specific and an expression of its terroir.
Guests can take the time to wander through the world-class Art Gallery during their visit. The current exhibition, “LINES OF de-LIMITATION” curated by Pierre le Riche, features intriguing installations and artworks by talented artists Zyma Amien and Ingrid Bolton. The space is transformed into a display of shadows and light, texture, technique, and media.
The Gallery foyer hosts a selection of modern and contemporary works by South African artists in a collaboration with 99 Loop Gallery.
After wine tasting and artwork viewing, guests will have worked up a healthy appetite and ready to enjoy the scrumptious fare of Chef Johan Stander. Inspired by the seasons, Chef Johan creates a menu of classic dishes with a contemporary twist, taking inspiration from some of his greatest mentors, his grandmothers. Expect uncomplicated flavours and unfussy food paired elegantly with Glen Carlou wines.
