Innovators and entrepreneurs with economically viable green economy innovation business ideas are encouraged to enter the 2023 FNF GreenPitch Challenge, a competition aimed at highlighting investment opportunities in the green economy.

Powered by GreenCape and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF), the GreenPitch Challenge is open to early-stage and pre-growth start-ups. Innovators and entrepreneurs in the green economy landscape will receive support, and the winner and finalists will be awarded prizes valued at R300 000.
Prizes include:
- Cash (for the winner)
- A full-day workshop to all finalists on investment strategies (for all finalists)
- Mentoring support
- Research
- Access to a potential funder network
- Entry into the Google Startups for Sustainable Development programme (for the winner)
The top 10 finalists who are interested in global collaborations will also be supported by the International Cleantech Network to develop funding applications for the Eureka Eurostars programme, which aids small businesses in international research and development partnerships.
