Kick back with Dad this Father’s Day at Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront and its Gentleman Jack Boardwalk Buffet, created especially for the leading man in your life. One lucky dad could even win a lucky Jack Daniels hamper on the day.
The hotel barman, AJ Snetler, has crafted an exclusive cocktail which can only be ordered on the day. Dubbed “The GodFather”, the ingredients include Jack Daniels, Disarona Amaretto, Amarena Cherry and Angostura Bitters.
Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront hotel chef, Chef Norman, has created a menu inspired by Jack Daniels (aka JD) and Dad is bound to be delighted by what’s on offer.
On the buffet, guests can look forward to smoked beef carpaccio with red onion and watercress, a build-your-own-salad station, Asian slaw with crisp apple and toasted sesame seeds, and coriander smoked mussels with toasted bread.
The menu also features a selection of family-style platters that will be served at your table, with options that include a JD Burger with a beetroot and black sesame seed bun, JD-basted chicken wings, smoked JD sticky barbeque pork ribs, spicy skin-on potato wedges and crispy onion rings.
Those with a sweet tooth can look forward to a peanut-butter-and-JD brownie with glazed bacon, JD fudge, Jack and Coke pie, Rooibos tea-smoked cheesecake with a JD and maple glaze, and so much more.
This is not just an opportunity to enjoy delicious food and drinks with your dad. It’s also a chance to make extra-special memories that last a lifetime.
The Boardwalk Buffet is from 12.30pm to 3.30pm on Sunday June 16 and costs R455 per person which includes a small gift for dad. Children under the age of five eat for free and children aged 5 to 12 receive a 50% discount.
