We hope you took a few minutes out of your day to reflect on your heritage and what makes you truly South African. Today marks a special day in our calendar – one for everyone to look back at their South Africanisms and appreciate it for what it is.

Whether you enjoyed a braai with family, a milk tart by yourself or a koesuster with the neighbour, we hope it reminded you of a simpler, better time.

Many companies hosted Heritage Day events at their offices, encouraging staff to dress up proudly in their ethnic attire. There were several events planned throughout Cape Town to showcase our rainbow nation. Lucky for us, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in Cape Town and celebrated with us too.
