Cape Town’s cycling scene gets more and more exciting by the day, with something to offer every kind of cyclist, from die-hard professionals to first-timers, or active tourists looking to soak in the City on two wheels.
Here are three unique cycling experiences for everyone to enjoy:
1. All the cycling things in one spot!
The Ride In Cafè is a family run cycling oriented cafe in Jonkershoek Valley, just 4kms outside of Stellenbosch. This beautiful cafe is surrounded by lush green gardens and is a short cycle away from the Jonkershoek nature reserve.
Both a café and B&B, the Ride In offers mountain bike rentals, post-ride showering facilities, a bike maintenance shop and a large garden play area with a kids bike track.
They also roast their own coffee and serve a selection of freshly baked cakes as well breakfast, lunch, beer and wine.
Guided tours can be booked on various levels according to your abilities and adventures are led by highly experienced cyclists who know the routes intimately.
The various routes include trails through the nature reserve, around Stellenbosch, and of course, wine tours!
