Baz-Art, a NPO looking to give Africa’s incredible creative talent pool a chance to showcase their skills, is calling for four Cape Town-based public or urban artists to take part in The International Public Art Festival (IPAF), from 10 – 19 February 2018 in Salt River.

The chosen artists will have the remarkable opportunity of being part of an international team of professional artists who are positively impacting small communities, one mural at a time.

This year’s theme is “Nature doesn’t need us; We need nature.”

The City’s current water crisis and the effects of global warming is the inspiration behind the theme, hoping to serve as a catalyst to evoke passion and emotion from the Mother City’s best street artists.

The requirements for submissions are as follows:

– Must be able to paint large murals
– Understand the theme and the community they will be painting for
– Be a Cape Town resident (to have been residing in/around Cape Town for at least 5 years)
– Those selected who have to submit a sketch by 15 January 2018

All submissions can be sent to Melissa Cucci via email [email protected]. Submissions must contain a brief bio and your contact information, as well as images of any murals you have previously painted.
