This Sunday’s Cape Town Heritage Tour will wander through leafy suburbia and follow Jan Van Riebeek’s infamous perimeter of almond trees all the way from the gates of Rustenburg Girls’ in Rondebosch to Kirstenbosch’s Boschenheuwel Arboretum.

The tour will begin at 2pm on Sunday 20 November at Rustenburg Girls’ Junior School and will conclude in the middle of the Boschenheuwel Arboretum after a 5-kilometre journey of discovery that delves into the sights and stories of Cape Town’s suburbia.
Attendees will learn everything there is to know about the watering holes that over time evolved into the independent constituencies of Mowbray, Rosebank, Rondebosch, Newlands, Claremont, Wynberg, Bishopscourt and Protea Village under the expert guidance of Cameron Peters.
