Following Cape Town CBD’s mural magic earlier this year as part of the Public Art Festival, numerous Capetonians have found themselves strolling or cruising through the streets with a little more wonder.
However, there’s nothing like an actual tour to feed all our art-curious cravings.
Culture Connect SA’s next Art Walk is ready to walk you through your next artistic adventure, promising an array of visions from public art to smaller art spaces where artworks are often missed.
Starting with Mak1one’s work on Charly’s Bakery, 36-38 Canterbury St District 6, the tour will take you through art journeys big and small, finishing up at the end of Bree Street. You’ll see murals and paintings that have become furniture to the city, as well as newcomers and those you always pass by but know very little about.
Think of a slice of art filled with history, knowledge, and the world’s creative flavours right here in Cape Town.
Your guide, Kate, will venture back to the East Side of the City where Kate encourages you join her for lunch.
