Local comedian Dalin Oliver kicked off his latest show The Face For Radio at the Baxter Theatre on Monday and it will leave you in stitches. Oliver takes the audience on a nostalgic trip through the ‘real’ Cape Town’s local culture and vibrancy.

Without giving too much away, we highly recommend the show. The Face For Radio gives you a chance to have a good laugh at yourself – while at the same time relating with most of his humour. He also takes the audience on a journey through the years… from the crazy we were, to the crazy we are.

The comedian addresses the nuances of being brought up in Cape Town and what it means to be Capetonian, allowing the audience to relate.

Catch the show this week:

Date: 10 September – 15 September 2018
Address: Baxter Concert Hall, Main Rd, Rondebosch
Tickets can be purchased on Webtickets and cost R100 – R120 per person.

Please note that no children under the age of 13 years are allowed to attend the show.

Performance history

Oliver provides a fresh and energetic approach to comedy as both shows hosted at the Baxter Theatre in 2015 and 2016 sold out in a number of days.  The audience is made to feel apart of the show and involvement is encouraged to ensure a good laugh.

The iconic one-man show I came, I Taught, I Left was a huge success, and during its final run in 2016, the show was placed in the top 30 grossing productions at the Fringe Festival.

Oliver has grown in his skill set after landing the lead role of his first feature film, Finders Keepers, released in 2017.
