A report by UK publication The Mirror has revealed that Cape Town was one of the filming locations for the hit reality show, The Bachelor UK 2019. The latest season began airing on March 4, and Cape Town was selected as a prime location for filming as producers regarded it as one of the most romantic cities in the world.

“Two months of filming, the series is unbelievable, you’ve gotta see it. Drama, tears, love, it’s been amazing,” the show’s host, Mark Wright, said in an Instagram video.

I think I feel more nervous looking at this picture now than when I was actually standing there looking down. I also didn’t realise I was standing on a solo rock at the time lol. Yesterday was insane though, I wanna do it all again. #hiking #mountain #lionshead #memories #capetown #southafrica ??????????

Although the locations are not tagged in each of Wright’s posts, the beauty of the Mother City is easily identifiable.

It is rumoured that some scenes were filmed in Muizenberg, but this has not yet been confirmed.
