Belinda Davids, the songstress who shines on the stage with her Whitney Houston tribute concert, is taking the international world by storm. She is officially through to Britain’s Got Talent’s (BGT) semi-finals.
Davids is one of 40 amazing acts who will battle it out on the BGT stage to claim the title and the £250,000 (R5 033 200) prize money. The live semi-finals will be recorded with a virtual audience and start on Saturday, September 5.
The South African-born singer auditioned for the the show’s 14th season, which began airing in the UK in April.
Judges were blown away by her powerful vocals and confident stage presence. She sang ‘One Moment in Time’ by Whitney Houston, and left judges smiling with her exceptional rendition of the classic song.
Simon Cowell was so impressed by Davids performance that he told her: “This was just a fantastic end to a fantastic tour. I love her, that was the moment we have been waiting for.”
