Established in 1934 as the University of Cape Town Ballet Company, Cape Town City Ballet has strong heritage and roots. Attending a performance should be on every Cape Town bucket list. Taking place at the Artscape Opera House, Alchemy — Three Dancers, is spinning us into the summer season on our toes.

The show is taking place from November 6 to 13 and honours some the work of some of the worlds most celebrated choreographers. It includes Robert North’s internationally acclaimed Troy Game, as well as George Balanchine’s exquisite Concerto Barocco and Jiří Kylián’s arresting Falling Angels.

“The dancers of Cape Town City Ballet illustrate their prowess and stylistic diversity in these three very different works choreographed by these ballet giants,” says Debbie Turner, CEO of Cape Town City Ballet.
“With the lyrical beauty of Concerto Barocco, the arresting power of Falling Angels and the delicious humour of Troy Game, we have strived to compile a programme that will lift your spirits for the start of a new season and time.”
