There are a few things in life one could never understand unless you’ve found yourself in the heart of Cape Town where things start becoming uniquely Capetonian.

There’s no doubt the Mother City is home to some of nature’s finest landscapes, a plethora of things to do, and a melting pot of flavourful food and people. But to have all this, living it up in the city doesn’t always come cheap:

While we’re not quite sure when the parking pay stations at Cavendish turned into time machines sending you into the future, it doesn’t change the fact whether at Cavendish Square, the V&A waterfront, or any spots along the road within the CBD the prices we pay for just an hour of parking will have us ugly crying in no time.
