International model, actress and singer Cara Delevingne was spotted in Cape Town’s CBD while shooting an advert for Volkswagen on Sunday.

Social media posts show Delevingne in multiple shoots, kitted out in different outfits as she poses in various CBD streets.

The commercial is reportedly part of an advertorial campaign for Volkswagen’s new SUV model, the T-Cross.

Delevingne shared a candid paparazzi shot of her on-set in an ‘Insta-story’. The picture is overlaid with the humourous caption, “Got papped in SA”.

In addition, she posted a photo of herself to Instagram that shows her clad in lycra sport gear and wearing white headphones on the set of the commercial.

Delevingne has starred in films such as Suicide Squad , Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, and Paper Towns.

This is not the first time the star has visited the Mother City; in December 2017 she shot a commercial in the Dinokeng Game Reserve as part of a TAG Heuer ad campaign.

South Africans took to social media to share their reactions to the news that Delevingne was in the Mother City.
